Negative feedback

I sold a new shirt, with tags recently. The buyer left me negative feedback stating that it was not new, had been worn, and that I tried to fake that it was new by reattaching the tags. All of this is of course not true. I put in a request to Ebay to have the feedback removed and am waiting the response. If they don't remove it I will be livid. Negative feedback is OK for inferior service or if an item is not as described. In this case it is a false accusation, with no proof of any kind. It is somewhat crazy accusation by the buyer that I have a clothes tagging device and regularly attach tags to used clothing to sell it as new. If Ebay doesn't remove this feedback they truly could give a you know what about the seller and their reputation.

Negative feedback

If this ever happens again, there is one more step you should take BEFORE you request that it gets removed.

Go to the Buyer's FB page and look at their FB for others.  If there is a pattern of this behavior, you can get this removed for FB abuse.  Sad to say that they aren't likely to remove it unless you can prove abuse.  So you should go take a peek and see if they do this to other seller.  But this is something you should always do first just to make sure.

Good luck.  I sincerely hope it works out.

Negative feedback

@goldrushfinds

Unfortunately, eBay will not remove this feedback unless you can show that it is abuse. They will more than likely suggest that you reach out to the buyer with a feedback revision request.

This happened to me almost a year ago and buyer never messaged me to let me know there was an issue, next thing you know two weeks later the buyer left me negative feedback. They stated the item only printed half the picture.

However, I explained in my auction description that the printer was printing spotty and until printer ribbon totally runs out, you have to print the item several times and it will eventually print a solid picture. I also stated in the description that they would need to change the ribbon soon and that I am including two new ones.

I messaged the buyer and let them know this. Told them I would even accept a return, give them a full refund, once I received the item back and I never received a reply. I sent a feedback revision per eBay and never received a reply or denial from the buyer.

I had to chalk this one up as my first and only negative feedback even though it was not warranted.

I would not get to mad, it is now part of doing business here now. Not worth getting upset at and giving yourself high blood pressure.

Hope this helps!
