Negative Feedback

A buyer opened a case against me because he never received his 2 items.  I emailed him prior to the case to please wait a bit more for the delivery due to the Hurricane Helene and I told him not to worry that I will send replacements if they don't arrive within a week.   I explained to him in the Case messages if he wants them still or a full refund.  He never ever responded to the case.  So I ended up just giving him a refund and the case closed.   One month later he left me 2 negative feedbacks!!!!!!!!!!!!  I called ebay and explained the whole thing and they said they cannot remove them.  Meanwhile ebay removed negatives for me in the past with no problem because I was right.    Am I right in this situation?????  My feedback has been 100% forever since being a member from the very first day ebay launched.  I'm a fuming.

It's basically up to Ebay agent to decide if your feedback should be removed or not. If it qualifies for Hurricane Helene delay or loss. We can say "Yes you are right in this situation" and it wouldn't matter at all. It's on Ebay. The only suggestion I would give you is have a return policy of 30 days with seller pays for shipping cost. That way Ebay knows if anything goes wrong you will take care of it. In this case you have no return policy and just answered a case and refunded the buyer. Also block the buyer. Congratulations on having a streak of 100% feedback since Ebay launched. In business you will have unsatisfied customers who will not only want a refund but to negative you. That's just the way it is unfortunately.
