Need to confirm INR response procedure

Buyer in Florida has filed INR case even though item tracking shows delivery.  I want to make sure that I can send him a message to check status with PO and carrier, and still be able to upload tracking info a day or two later?

Upload the tracking number to the dispute right now, where indicated. It's not going get any more Delivered than it is right now. 😉

Separately, you can send the buyer a message with the usual advice about checking with the carrier, neighbors, etc. When you look at response choices within the INR dispute, you will see different choices (Upload tracking, contact buyer) and you can select either, one at a time. (i.e. You can upload the tracking first, then contact the buyer, etc.)

You need to upload the tracking information immediately.  Currently, that's your only tool.  USE IT!

I'm with the others. Upload your Tracking # into the case notes now. The clock is ticking...

Your only job, its to ship the item.  You did, and tracking says it was delivered.  You have done your job.  You don't need to contact buyer.  That will be a waste of your time.  If you are buying your postage from ebay, the tracking number is already on the system.

What you can do, its to contact ebay and ask that the INR case be close in your favor, as tracking says it was delivered.  I have done this several times, and on all of the cases that I have had, ebay has sided with me (seller).

Good luck on your selling journey.

Do what @a_c_green  said.  I had one just this AM.  Contrary to popular belief, it DOES behoove you to be concerned & help the buyer, b/c most of the time they are telling the truth & the item was misdelivered!  My buyer with the INR this AM is a regular & bought something else the next day, which she already got.  So, it's a simple misdelivery issue, as 99% of them are.

So just upload your tracking, so that you're covered & then send a nice note to your buyer separately.

@modyroad

To add to the other good replies, along with those suggestions, one thing that I always do for an INR is, when I send the buyer a message, I always include a photo of the  "Online Label Record" showing the item purchased, tracking #, and the address that it was shipped to.
