I sold a cosmetic item, the buyer is asking to return the item for item not as described. The item was as described and the size of the item was clearly listed and shown in the photos. I even sent her a $9 bonus sample. She just wants a free return or refund. Normally, since it is a low value sale, I would just refund the item , apologize to the buyer, let the buyer keep it, and go on my merry way.
But she left a negative feedback before she even contacted me to request the return, and in the feedback she notes that she used the item. I don't have enough feedback, I am a small occasional seller, so this greatly impacts my feedback score.
So it is my understanding that I have to accept the return. If I pay for return shipping, and prove the item was as described, is there any chance of getting that negative removed?
should I even respond to the feedback?
I have a few more items I need to sell, and then I am off ebay as a seller for good. It's just not worth making the 5-7 dollars per sale ( after shipping and fees ) twice a week to deal with this any more.

Most of your feedback is superb. I don't know anything about makeup but if I was to look at your feedback I would not be scared to buy from you. Keep selling and Good Luck.
