$21.95 per month vs $59.95 per month. I have over 1000 listings and cannot put them all on ebay due to my 1000 limit. I cant justify the extra $38.00 a month for a few more listings, and certainly not paying .25 each. Sure would like to see Basic go up to 2000 or put another category in between.

With your Basic store subscription, you get not only 1,000 free fixed price insertions that can be used in almost any category, but you also get 10,000 free insertions each month that can be used in "select" categories, including:
383 of your current listings are in Collectibles, and you also have some listings under Books, Sports Memorabilia and maybe Crafts, so those extra 10K should enable you to go well over the basic 1,000 free insertions.

I agree with you. It would have been good with another subscription for let's say 34.99 and you get 5000 listings.

Agreed. Would like to see them expand Premium perks/offerrings to make it worth it. Miss having a premium store, but cannot justify the cost.

most of my inventory, including all my new inventory does not fall into those categories

But with about 400 listings that ARE, that gives you 1400 free insertions with your Basic subscription.

I was in the same boat (pre managed payments) where I got 1000 listings for 59.95, but had around 1400 things to sell. When I got to MP, the subscription price was the same, but then it became 10,000 listings (with 50,000 in those select categories, which is actually most of my inventory).
Rather than drop down a store level, I just decided to get a whole bunch more stuff to list in the store (doing some of my own listings, like postcards and stamps, not just what the brick and mortar store asks me to sell for them).
If you go up a level, maybe get a bunch more stuff to make it worthwhile?

You make so little $$, if any $$, on items that sell for $8.00 & less. I'd drop all of those items & concentrate on items that sell for more.
I'd rather have 999 $20 items listed than 999 $8 items, especially if I am paying a monthly nut for a store. No need for more listings, a higher monthly store payment per month, just better listings.

We sellers have been asking for this for years to no avail. Ebay knows most sellers will just pay the extra price. One can always open up some free extra Ebay sites for awhile. Ebay is in the biz to make money - not help the sellers

Exactly. I sell a great deal of collectibles; they all come out of the 10,000 free Collectibles listings, leaving the other 1,000 for non-Collectibles items. I'm effectively getting far more than 1,000 listings out of my Basic store.
