I’ve seen different awnsers about this topic from a while back and wanted to check back on the topic.

Say I wanted to sell a “School Supply” Mystery box. Is that allowed?

Why not put together a decent assortment of needed school supplies and have a "Back To School Special" sale?
Why do you need a gimmick?

Mystery boxes AKA Chance listings are not allowed.  Best to describe everything in the listing to let the buyer know what they're receiving.
