It is quiet hour here, so I was surfing eBay a bit, and looked at this "mysteries box".
How many takers do you think the seller will find?
Seller .... "would love to see the box I've created enjoyed by one or millions of people."
No photos !!! after all it is a "mysteries box".
Listing description as follows:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You're probably wondering why someone would ever even offer up a box for $25,000. Well, I'm a bored student who will be needing money for college, don't worry the items in the box will be worth at least $20,000. I picked this number because 1. Ebay takes 10% of my sales. 2. I imagine the box will be pretty hefty and cost at least a few hundred dollars to ship. 3. In order to accumulate enough products to provide both a fun and entertaining un-boxing experience, as well as items worth the price tag, it will take me a lot of time and energy to shop (yes I know, you're paying me to shop for you). 4. Please note that I do live in New York so the retail values of the items are subject to sales tax (so the actual value of the items would probably be closer to $17,500). Since the person buying this is most likely a youtuber or internet personality, I'm willing to buy items of a certain category: ex. a channel about sneakers will get a $20,000 box of stuff like Supreme, Bape, etc. Of course as a student I do have school to attend so the box will probably not ship until a month of two after (I will update you on your purchase every week if you'd like). Please keep in mind that for one, I don't make a lot of money off of this, and second, the listing states there's 10 items but there will be more I just don't have a definitive number. I'm not doing this for the profit, I enjoy shopping and would love to see the box I've created enjoyed by one or millions of people. Please feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns you might have. Serious inquiries will be given my personal number to guide the buying process along smoothly. If you've read through this I'd like to thank you for your time."

That listing needs to be reported to eBay because mystery boxes are NOT allowed to be listed on eBay.

The First Law of applied economics says there is one born every minute.
As for reporting the listing, ebay is not paying me enough to be their listing sheriff.

Give me the listing number, I'll report it.

I know.
I just find it a bit amusing.
Not my job to report it. My fingers, and mind would go numb before the thousands of listings were reported. Not in competition with what I sell, so from my point of view the responsibility falls back on eBay to worry aout it.
Just amazing that ebay can not/will not observe that the listing is a violation of their own rules. How hard could it be to catch this sort of listing before it appears in the search? Bot should be able to pick it up to be reviewed by "human eyes", but review would be at a labor $$$ cost that would fall in the "debit" column, so not on the priority list.

Are you going to report all 11,285 of these Mysteries Box listings ?

I don't report things to help Ebay. If I report things it's to help buyers and other sellers who are following the rules.

Pay $25,000 for a mystery box worth about $17,500 retail
Wait for a month or two for it to be mailed
What a good deal!!

I would suggest this student who needs the money for college, but who is not doing this for profit, take the $20k he’s going to spend on the box contents to pay their tuition. Problem solved.

I find it hard to believe that 165 "Mysteries Boxes" actuallo SOLD in the last 60 days:
Maybe I need to re-think my product line especially since the buyer can's file a SNAD when the listing clearly are vague enough to NOT descrine ANYTHING that the buyer is buying !
And I would assume the same for both Paypal and the buyer's credit card company ?
"If you were dumb enough to buy a "mysteries box," then there is nothing that we can do for you."
"We can't protect you from YOU !"
