Hello,
I am a new seller in ebay. Before making an ebay account, I did some research about ebay and I learned that one seller has a monthly sells limits. I also learned that usually the monthly sells limits are 10 items and $500. After looking at my seller hub, I found out that my limits are 5 items and $250. The biggest problem for me is that I sell CDs that are rare to get. So I have to get a good price for each item. I would love to know why my monthly sells limits are so low? and I would to have some advice to fix these kinds of problems.
Thank you for helping,
Kpopmonkey

Hello and welcome.
You are ahead of the pack. Many new sellers do no research, and then find themselves in hot water, in way over their heads.
As for the new seller limits, eBay has been making them more and more restrictive, it seems. Look at it as a test designed to winnow out those who aren't serious about selling here, and as a way to protect your interests from pricey rookie errors.
Once you prove your merit, usually after three months of successful listing and selling, the limits will be raised. And the only path to that outcome is to remain within the guidelines eBay has given you. Sell as much as you can, and avoid any policy violations. Build up some feedback.
In the beginning, you won’t be able to sell the high priced CDs, but list your lower dollar items instead, as you are learning the eBay ropes. There is much to learn here, and better to make any early mistakes with as little expense as possible. Below are some links to help you get started.
Good luck to you and wish you much success.

You have to maintain a good selling record and ebay will eventually raise your selling limits. This is normal.
You have to start at the bottom and work your way up.
Good luck and stay safe!

Spot on - buying limits are great for protecting sellers from themselves. I’m so glad that I had to earn higher selling limits. I learned so much in the first several months!

You're in South Korea; are you trying to list on the USA site? That may be part of the reason why your limits are lower.
