I am not sure why, but, my listing for a new bottle of Chanel No 5 was removed immediately after I listed it. I got a message from EBay saying it was counterfeit.
Now I have looked and there are many other sellers selling that same product. What is the deal?
I contacted EBay customer service (which is another ordeal in itself!) and spoke on the phone with a representative. They told me they would have to look into it and get back to me. Well, it's been a week and nothing.

Was the removal the result of a VeRO notification? If so, the removal notice makes reference to being contacted by the rights owner and in order to dispute the removal, there would be contact information within that message telling you how and who to contact them.
If the removal was done by ebay, apparently they believe it's fake and may have been reported as such. They may have seen red flags in the pictures, description or both.
Post a C&P of the takedown message, removing any personal info to see if it sheds light on why it was removed.

One can not, absolutely can not, sell any Chanel product on Ebay without Chanel removing it as counterfeit. Contacting Ebay will be a waste of your time. Just take it as a learning experience and move on.

@m60driver do you know if vintage empty perfume bottles count?

I think that would fall under the cosmetic policy for used perfumes.
If I’m incorrect someone will let us know.

Sorry for your experience, but if eBay deems it counterfeit, I would not relist it as relisting it can jeopardize your account.
Happy Selling

I believe used perfume is allowed per the policies but it must be in the original container. I don't know whether the OP's item was in the original container:
As for the OP's assertion that other sellers have the same item, that's irrelevant. Her listing was "caught" and deemed as fake. Others may have yet to be found or they may have been determined to be genuine.

You might be able to get away with listing an empty bottle. But Chanel is the most notorious brand when it comes to reselling.
