I keep getting phone calls and messages for unusual items that I don’t have for sale. I have had calls for everything from cbd gummies to vintage rifle parts to epiphyllum plants to golf putters! Any ideas how this has happened? Any help will be most appreciated!

Dang, that sucks. 😞
First thing I would do would be to Google myself - see if your store name, URL, phone number, etc. is showing up on someone else's website. That was the first thing that popped into my head - your info is out there on someone else's site.

Assuming you're the same "read2gether" who sells on Amazon, I can see your name on their site.

Amazon is now listing a seller's info as part of being transparent.
I shudder for anyone that operates out of their home....

Found this on Yahoo search. Seems to have come from FB. I cut a few things out, but it does have a phone number.

We really ought to start a detective agency. Our business model would involve being able to do all research at home on the couch in our slippers.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to look into your thoughts. I have already started the process of deleting my FB for the business. Still have 8 days to go before it is final! What is that?! I think I may be deleting my Amazon too. Looking into it. Thanks again. Any other ideas will be appreciated.

Adding "LOL" to your comment really doesn't make it any less offensive. Why would you post something like that about another member?

Amazon started that Sept. 1.
ebay will soon be following suit, as will the rest of the online marketplaces.
Yep. If you sell from home that's the address that anyone and everyone can see.
It appears one way to bypass this is to pay for a PO box and make that your selling address.
The ecommerce blog site has more information in a Sept 1 blog pertaining to seller's online security and the changes.

So in addition to being worried about being scammed selling here, now sellers can be worried about being robbed in their homes if they sell anything at all valuable.

Didn't buyers already have access to a seller's address via the shipping label? How is this more egregious?
A post upthread says, "If you sell from home that's the address that anyone and everyone can see." Is eBay going to display it to non-buyers, as well? And just general, browsing members and non-members?
