Hi All,
Hoping someone can help, I am an Australian seller and whenever my customers try to purchase my products they get the following error:
"You can't bid on or buy this item because you're not registered as a business seller. If you act as a business seller, please enter an eBay business account. Note: If you're still interested in purchasing this item, you can contact the seller and ask them to allow you to purchase it"
Each time I contact support they cannot locate an issue with the account or our buyers accounts - so far they have escalated the issue but it has been almost 4 weeks, has anyone else had this issue and can shed light on how to resolve it?
Many thanks!

That is really odd. I tried to put a couple of your items in my cart and I got a message saying that they weren’t put in my cart but didn’t give any other information or say why. When I clicked on buy it now I got an error message so have no idea what’s going on.
This is the US board so you might want to see if anyone on the Australian discussion board has run into the same problem. Check your selling preferences too just in case you have opted into something you didn’t mean to,
It looks like you haven’t sold in a while. Assuming that eBay.au uses Managed Payments too, have you set that up yet?

I am also from Australia, and tried to add one of your items to my cart.
This is the error message I got:
“An item you selected was not added to your cart because it is not found. You missed out this time, but there are still more great deals out there.”
There is definitely something not working properly.
As the previous poster asked, are you registered for managed payments?

Hi there - thanks so much for replying, yes I have the managed payments setup, we actually got two sales randomly the other week which went through but then the error suddenly returned after I listed a few more items. very frustrating!

Hi there - thanks so much for replying, this is the board it brings me to when I follow the menus to ask the community, I think it just posts it to all the boards, from what I can see theres no way for me to specifically only target Australia although if you have a link please do share!

Selling dietary supplements is fraught with rules and regulations. What may be legal in one country is not in another. Some stuff can't be imported. Dietary supplements are considered food and may need to have an expiration date in the listings. I did not see any in yours. You need as much information in the item specifics as possible.

This dosen't appear to be the factor as we have no issues selling similar items on our other ebay store (however the selling limit is much lower on that one hence we have two). also usually ebay would be able to tell us if the issue was the expiry but I can try adding it to see if it helps thanks for the suggestion!

Multiple account policy | eBay
"we have no issues selling similar items on our other ebay store (however the selling limit is much lower on that one hence we have two)."
"We don't allow members to create a new account to get around buying or selling restrictions"

Have you signed up for managed payments? To be honest it looks like you are drop shipping because you are using all stock photos...are you drop shipping? Is it from a retailer? Or do you have all the items you are selling in your personal possession? The rules for drop shipping may be different in your country and may need to be registered as a business account. I would do as others have advised and sign on to your community's discussion forum as it may better serve you and the issue you are experiencing.
Good luck to you.

No we aren't drop shipping we are a retailer - stock photos standard for supplements from all the sellers I see on there. We are signed up for managed payments yes, and yes I have put this on the Au boards as well but no one seems familiar with the issue 😞
