I have one large order that needs to be shipped in multiples boxes. How do you print multiple labels and break up the values for insurance from one large order?

After you print the label for the first package, the next screen will have a link that says something like 'Print another label for this order." That link brings up a fresh label-prep screen where you can adjust weight, insurance value, etc. and print a second label. IIRC you can purchase up to 5 labels for one order. If you need more than that you'll have to purchase postage elsewhere (usps.com, PayPal, etc.).

I agree. I’ve done this successfully many times. All the tracking numbers should show up in a drop-down box. I always message the buyer letting them know how many packages to expect and how to find the tracking numbers.

Limit of 5 labels can be printed huh? So dumb!

Why is the 5 label limit dumb? How many people ship more than one maybe two boxes to a buyer? What is being asked about is to one buyer, not several different buyers.

Some buyers purchase items that utilize the eBay standard envelope shipping method. If you combine their orders into a single envelope...USPS will kick it back for being either too thick or too heavy. Hence the multiple labels for multiple envelopes. Combining them into a single shipping order puts the additional shipping cost on the seller.

As said above @thebeaner you can just "purchase another label" through eBay. To your question about splitting up insurance values:
- If it's a Priority shipment then insurance up to $100 is automatically included on each package so you don't need to worry about it.
- If you're paying separate for insurance, then you enter the declared insurance value when you purchase the label. If for some reason eBay's system won't let you do that and defaults to the order amount, then you can always purchase the labels elsewhere then add tracking to eBay: pirateship.com and paypal.com/shipnow are 2 options.
Up to 5 tracking numbers can be uploaded to an order. If you need to split into more than 5 boxes you can purchase those labels elsewhere and communicate with the buyer through messages, but only 5 tracking numbers can be added to the transaction.

I understand that I can print separate labels after purchasing the first, but what weight and dimensions should I use for the first label? As is, eBay has calculated the combined weight of all four but the dimensions are only for one item. I plan on shipping 4 large items, either separately or in two shipments and I'm not sure each package will be the exact same weight and size. I feel like I have three options and I'm not sure which one to chose. Should I leave it the way eBay has it and just print three more labels with the correct sizes; change it to the combined weight 𝒂𝒏𝒅 dimensions for the first label; or do I make them all specific to the individual weight and sizes, even the first label? It was a buy now item so the buyer has already paid but I don't know if what he paid for shipping will end up being accurate when I divide them up. I really don't want to get screwed on shipping costs. Thanks for any help y'all can give.
