Multiple Seller Accounts Advice

Ebay guidelines say that I cannot open more than one selling account to bypass limits. Does this mean that I cannot open other accounts in order to get 50 more free listings per month since I have already used the 50 free ones on my original account?  What are the disadvantages or problems if I open multiple accounts?

Multiple Seller Accounts Advice

You can have multiple selling accounts with the usual 50 freebies. But you cannot circumvent selling limits related to quantity, dollar amount or category. Even with the allowance of 50 items, you may not be able to use them all.

For example, a new seller may be limited to listing 10 items and $5000 per month. The limit applies to the account holder -- not a specific account. The 50 freebies allowance is therefore reduced to 10 for a single account or 5 for each of 2 accounts. The total starting prices cannot exceed $5000.

Certain categories are limited to a single item per month per seller. Designer items and gift cards are restricted in this way.
