Three years ago, a competitor literally purchased and then cloned my product and has been selling it on ebay. He and I are the only two sellers. Over a year ago, his listing became the basis of the ebay catalog item but he didn't have a UPC on his listing. Recently I created a new listing of this product and it hooked up with the ebay catalog item that was based on his listing. But as the original creator of the product I have a UPC on my listing and now the catalog shows my UPC. After a few days his listing (no change in epid or selling history) was disconnected from the catalog. Product Reviews are now shown on my listing and removed from his listing.

I am only curious, was his listing separated from the catalog because he doesn't have a UPC on his listing. This isn't a problem or issue, I am only curious about the workings of the ebay catalog.
