What in the heck? I went to cancel my monthly store subscription on Oct 25 which renews on Nov 1 and it added a another month saying my store subscription would end Dec 1 instead of Nov 1. Never seen any sort of monthly subscription service do this. Makes no sense.

It's an early termination fee thing.
And I wouldn't waste my time contesting it.
Be thankful it's not a 'gym membership' which are usually impossible to cancel.

Like any business it's in the fine print everyone agrees to without reading.

The OP says he has a monthly store subscription, not an annual subscription; it should have ended on October 31. The subscription would have been extended IF this was their first month, due to the "Mandatory subscription period" (defined as " the period between the Subscription Start Date and the end of the first full calendar month of your current subscription".)
