Missing messages

wondering where 2 messages from a buyer are that listed on a summary screen, but when I clicked reply it brought me to my inbox where neither messages from the buyer listed at all. He was trying to get me to text him in the short clip of the beginning of the message, so I reached out to him, but this is kind of ... ?????

Don't worry about it - anybody trying to get you to text them on a sale is operating a very common scam which is played particularly on new sellers.  You haven't missed anything.  The messages may have been deleted.

In your eBay inbox, make sure you are set to view ALL messages, and not just unread ones. Mine often defaults to "unread".
