The following listings are missing when I search for “real estate” in our active listings, but do show up when I search eBay directly, and show up in the list if I simply scroll to the correct start date or whatever sorting method I’m using (as in, they're on the active list, but just aren’t found by the search tool). I’m baffled, because that search term is in their titles and in their item specifics. Searching for “millionaire” does find the second listing, so search isn’t completely broken for me. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what's going on. In my active listings, I have to get Precise to find my items (I can no longer be vague and pull up a list).
For example: I'd like to see all of my GMC listings that are active. So that I can quickly run down through the list and modify, or promote, or end. But "GMC" in the search box finds nothing.
AND, I just went to my own listings via "see sellers other items" and ran a search for "fan hub"....NOTHING.
I had to add another word to that in order to find My own items.
Getting harder and harder to find items when searching.

I am not understanding your problem. I can help by telling you that you have too much into your title. I checked the first one by typing real estate mortgages for dummies dvd and your shows first. Maybe explain "exactly" what you are typing in the search bar.

This is a well known recent glitch that has yet to be fixed.

What OP means is that going to My Ebay, Active Listings, and then trying to search for his listings that have "real estate" in the title......are not showing all of his listings that have "real estate" in the title.

My OTHER search issue....I had a customer that found a FAN HUB that he wanted. But, he also wanted some related hardware. SO, he was on my Fan Hub listing and he clicked on View Sellers Other Items. He then typed in FAN HUB to search only my listings. And found nothing.
So, he asked me about it.
In order to find, and send him the item number, I did the exact same thing as he did. I got NO results.
I then got specific with my search and found the other item he needed.
BUT, that's not going to help with a customer that's not as patient. And most are not.

I did. I typed in exactly “real estate” into the search box, on the Active Listings page. No results came up (I wanted to see both those listings, and when I started this process, I didn’t know how many there were).
When I do that exact same search on eBay, I can find them, but that doesn’t give me editing access. I was trying to see which of our related listings needed optimization (I don’t have too much time on my hands, thank you for the sarcastic comment, this is literally my job).

my store search has been broken since last year
there are 3 search bars on ebay that do not show all of my products
there is an open ticket for this but its on the back burner I think
I think ebay figures the problem will go away if one is mentioning it anymore
you can see what I mean by searching for hamilton in my store.they do not all show

@brightlightbookseller I agree it's frustrating. I like to type in one word in my Active Listings and see everything. No, I don't like to see everything.....I NEED to see everything containing that word.
I've actually had the same issue on an eBay wide general search....several times.
I believe it's a general search issue that's showing up everywhere. Like eBay is trying to make the search algorithm think for shoppers and sort/choose what's best for eBay instead of what's best for the shopper.
And it's spilled over into our My Ebay stuff.
