I've seen this question asked before and always see that there is no way to stop someone from sending you a message. However all you have to do is delete the message without actually reading it. Yes it's an extra step but a simple one. Best of luck to you....

There is a setting to block messaging from eBay users on your blocked bidder list.  However, it does not work if there has been a recent transaction - the buyer can still message even if blocked.

First step for a 'buyer' like this is to record their city and state (if you can find it). That way if they open another ID to buy your stuff you can prove they violated the eBay rules (it's doubtful that two buyers from the same city and state would want your exact item - this has worked for us in the past).

Otherwise, ignore and more on. Mark the messages as 'no reply needed'

Or, you can goof on them: "We are sorry, we are out of the office and unable to reply to your message at this time. We will get back to at our earliest convenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

Just keep sending that.

Depends on which CSR you speak to. One said it was a glitch and they would send it to their IT team and have them blocked from messaging anymore and it seemed to work.  However,  I contacted them about another buyer and the two CRS I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and said just ignore them.

There are three ways to contact a seller on eBay:

  1. through the item listing;
  2. through the seller's feedback page;
  3. through the seller's My eBay/profile page.

The availability of blocking communication:

  1. through the item listing--the communication block on the Buyer Preferences page will block member ids on the Blocked Buyers List unless (1) there has been a recent transaction, or (2) there has already been a line of communication established between the two members;
  2. through the seller's feedback page--cannot be blocked;
  3. through the seller's My eBay/profile page--cannot be blocked.
