After nearly a week of no sales and very low views, made two sales this afternoon. Maybe someone finally paid the power bill or plugged the electrical cord back in... 😉

Or like me people get paid on Fridays so they have a bit of extra money.

Congrats!! That is fantastic!! Please send some of that magic my way.
Not much happening at my little store. Did pick up a watcher on an item. So I'm expecting to see an ebay email shortly telling me to lower my price, provide free returns, and promote the listing with a 75% ad rate to make the sale.

Congratulations on your sales, @tiramisu41!
It's nice to have an occasional thread that isn't complaining about slow sales, lol.

I've had exactly 3 sales since the beginning of February. I'm a very small time seller trying to downsize my home, mostly vintage & collectable items, so I don't have a lot of volume, but I can usually expect enough sales to cover my monthly store fee. In February I had 1 sale for $19.99, take off $2.71 in eBay & Paypal fees and $10.29 in "free" shipping and the store "rent", I am in the hole $12.76. In March I did a little better, I had 2 sales totalling $17.70, subtract $4.84 in fees and the rent (no free shipping), and I am in the hole for $7.09. I haven't sold anything so far in April.
I'm not losing big bucks, I know, but still not at all profitable. I didn't expect to get rich or even make a living selling my items, but I thought I'd make a few dollars, not go into the hole! I choose to have the store because I am disabled and have had several times when I had major surgery and was laid up for at least a month. I never know when it might happen again. It's just quicker & easier to put the store on vacation on short notice rather than ending the listings, upping the price, or increasing the handling time.
A week ago I decided to try the new promotion to see if it would boost sales. I put 7 items into a promotion with a 5% ad rate. 5 pieces of vintage Sarah Coventry jewelry and 2 contemporary necklaces. I have had exactly 4 clicks and no sales.
I'm looking for an addional venue to sell my items but haven't found an appropriate platform yet.

I've noticed a slight increase of sales on Fridays before too ,, but usually Tuesdays are the best days for me . I spoke to my husband about how I've noticed this . His theory is a lot of people deposit their paychecks on Friday but banks don't generally post the money on weekends . Instead they do it on Monday which in turn makes them available by Tuesday . ??? Thanks, @*coins. Ended up wih three sales by the end of the weekend which I was pleased about.
Three more sales this week and one more on another site. I'll take "slow but steady." It's "crickets" that I could do without... 😉
