Did you mean:

Mailing boxes..

In that past did we have the ability to send boxes, with measurements inserted in the shipping price ,(just med. size.), thru USPS.  Seems like I used to do that.

I went to send a box yesterday and it would not let me send it 1st class thru USPS.  The option I had was UPS.  This is fine, EXCEPT USPS does not pick up packages at my door.

Did this option change for USPS?

Thanks, - Mell

Mailing boxes..

First Class Package is only an option if your declared weight is 15.99 ounces or less for on-line postage. Declare no higher than 0 pounds 15 ounces and you should see the option.

I send First Class USPS all the time in boxes

Did you go over the 16oz. limit for first class?

Can't explain why you only got the UPS option

I'm pretty sure you can change the option from UPS to USPS. If not, go to Paypal and print postage and add the tracking number to ebay.

But, the weight has to be 16 ounces or less and the largest length can only be about 21 inches (I think, not sure, but there is a length limit).

USPS basically ditched parcel post and only lets you ship heavier items by priority mail.

The services formerly known as Parcel Post are now known as Retail Ground and Parcel Select Ground.  USPS has not "ditched" them.

For many years, USPS has limited the purchase of Retail Ground, saying that if you are shipping to Zones 1–4 then it is only for (1) the mailing of hazardous materials, live animals, or other items required to be shipped by ground transportation or (2) oversized parcels. This restriction is not applied to Parcel Select Ground (i.e., the online version of the service formerly known as Parcel Post).

eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc.
