All of a sudden on my seller account I've been getting both low views and impressions. I can see the lower impressions compared to last month. I can find my listings in search but they seem to not be getting clicked on when normally I receive between 20-40 views per day per item I now receive 2 or 3 views per day per item and in some cases 0 views.

Just last week I wrote in about this. Few impressions, few views, fewer sales. I've never had so much "red" on my traffic section. I've since gotten a few (very few) sales, but they help things look up. I'm hoping this is just the "down time" of eBays ups and downs. But it is discouraging. Others have suggested calling eBay...I did not---what's the point? Good luck down the road

When I look at mine, I'm all red save for external which who knows what that exactly is. Our fees perhaps. Couple things changed, recently they rolled out a CPC advertising scheme which places search standing in the hands of the rich and on Sept 6th I believe unemployment benefits ran out for 7.5M Americans alone. If you were getting 30-40 clicks per item you were selling something of interest or you had cultivated a following or had a popular item(s). Ebay has been trying to convert their site into a google regulated one for many months now. Their idea is to cut costs by giving the item specific job to the seller, most of which do not have advanced advertising degrees. So people have less money and ebay stopped helping us be seen unless we REALLY pay. This site is teaming with foreign amazon sellers who have been selling below cost for years. Where do they get the money? Well if they can sell below cost them they can pay for CPC advertising. I suspect the chinese communist government is going to do whatever it can to hurt Americans. Unfortunately our government could care less and allows corporations to do whatever they want. Sales will get worse I think. I haven't had a sale in over 20 days. I asked ebay to refresh my store and my search standing got even worse.

I think you're right about what's happening.

I have also noticed that my advertising impressions have dropped from 106,200 impressions on Sept. 19, 2021 to under 26,000 today. Since ebay won't ever answer any of our questions via there "customer feedback" form I can only assume this is due to the implementation of their new paid for clicks program. Anyone else?

I don't like being right about that because it can only get worse. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm currently running an extreme advertising campaign to see how much of a fee rate it takes to get any action(clicks or impressions). I don't have too many items of need or want so this will be challenging. I raised my prices 9900% and set the promo rate to 99%. That was 3 or 4 hours ago or so. 165 listings, 91 views only 48 clicks. I'll let this run a while longer and then put my store on sale 99% off Ha! Hey if you can't get sales you've got to try something.

Same scenario. My impressions last three months high at 140k with a low of 94k - today is 39k. Wondering why I'm paying for a store . . . I'm locked in at least 7 more months so I have time to strategize and prepare my next moves. In the meantime, might follow skeletonstore's recommendation. Any long-term / high-volume seller knows it all about playing the game.

At this point I'm losing recommendations. I know listing a lot or consistently is a known cure. I can buck the system to get views with my photoshop humor but eyes on have to be the right eyes. A lot of advice sites/youtube channels try to focus on lowest price and item specifics but I seem to recall CPC campaigns are a little more sophisticated. They're also another tool for those with the know how to manipulate. Most Ebay sellers did not go to school to learn the tricks of the game. It's not just money you need, you need know how and how for advertising relationships between titles, item specifics and fine tuned marketing targets which have little to do with the obvious. There's a reason corporations hire consultants and marketing strategists. That's a lot to put on the plate of essentially a novice seller. Earlier this year Ebay say too bad we removed ALL your item specifics and your categories. I remember many back then complained about a drop in views/impressions. Thing is unless you have a large social media following(active)and unique items you're going to have a very hard time on your own. While you're marketing google doesn't even have to acknowledge you even exist. Oh they used to but no more organic, all manipulated pseudo reality. You're also competing with wallet dollars and big tech is beating you to the punch. It's like the big guys have their lemonade stand on the main road and your is in a dead end alley.

Yes. Our impressions went to almost nothing as soon as Beta PLA launched.
Exactly what I was concerned about. It's horrible.

I had a **bleep**
Cannot have 2 competing placement programs and not have one get crushed by the other.
Well ...... Poooo!

I’ve noticed the same. My postings, which in the past, garnered several hundred views have sat for days with 0 views. eBay is intentionally doing this, in my opinion, to push the fees for promoting feature. I’m rarely post here and am just waiting for a competitor to come along with a new, better and less fee hungry online auction web site. The ones currently available are not much better…
