eBay management has lost touch with it's sellers...more to the point.....eBay management never asked us about what we thought of Classic View or removing the Classic View entirely.   eBay management is soooo stupid.   Reinstate Classic View immediately, eBay management!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things change and that does not make them stupid.  Get used to it or go.

Overview - 'a little bit about everything involved'  The new my ebay selling overview page - the one that doesn't show me my active listings, not even just the ones ... I mean just the one with a bid?  How is this page any use to me? The only thing 'active' on the underview page is the link on the bottom to the active listing page.

And this going back and forth to see what used to be on one page ... Priceless. No really priceless, as in I wouldn't pay for this pile of yuck.

And am I blind or is there no more bulk relisting function on the unsold page?  Now why would any seller need a bulk relisting function? It makes for a so much better ebay seller experience having to relist things one by one by one. So much better.  Funny thing, you did make sure that there was a delete bulk but no relist. Funny thing.

And it's the same for re-scheduling stuff page, there just ain't no bulk function to be found any darn place, dag nab it. Have to schedule stuff one by one by one.

And bring up the rear is the active listing page - again all bulk functions are gone, have to end the auto bot buy it now, please stuff ne by one by one.

But at least they got rid of that disgusting seller's performance box.  plus all the fonts are now real large - I mean real large, and the black printing is so .. so ... black. And the blues. Oh my you know what, what great shades blues.

Not happy - not that the 'boss' cares

Same person as above

Forgot to bitc ... mention that they also in their untethered stupidly decide that having a count of the scheduled stuff was not important, we could just count them one by one by one.

And it's would really seem like a somewhat more useful 'selling overview' page if it showed the active listings with bids. You would  think, right? You would, I would ... but of course not ebay. No active bids shown on the sellers overview page. WOW

But the worse part of all this - no matter how stupid ebay may seem they are not dumb. This is all part of their master plan and so they have a reason for all these moves and changes. It's a master plan that I can't figure out - These new layouts and set ups, I can't believe they think these are better. I can't believe they just screwed up and left things out. There is a plan. There has to be. It may be insane, it may be just ridiculously dumb, but it's a plan.

And I bet it involves a new logo!  That 'e' been red wayyyy too long.

Same person as ...

I have too much time on my hands

I've been playing with the 'add recommended item specifics' poo-poo on the active page and cracking myself up - for the baseball gloves it's asking for 'Game Position' - I put in things like 'any position I'm game' - 'facing north' - 'not good' - 'slightly to the left - Best feng shui in town' -- For LPs it wants 'Special Attributes'  -I said things like 'smells really good' - 'pays for beer' - 'can fix a carburetor' - 'makes a great egg salad' and 'doesn't eat much' -- for a tin can of peanut butter flavored cocoa it asked for 'color' - I put in paisley. --- On the shirts it want a whole bunce of stuff, like 'theme'  - I put '...from a summer place' - '... from hawaii 5-0' from M.A.S.H., from Shaft (Shaft!) - you get the picture. --- Also asked for 'Features' -- they suggested things like pockets and all season - I put in 'Buddy Ebson as Merle Nutshaft' and 'dual speakers AND suspension' - 'left wheel steering only' -  'Kemo Slobby and tom-toes' - 'Laverne and Curry'  --- then it asked for  'closure' - I said 'Too soon' -  'I can't talk about it right now' - 'you're making me cry' --- 'Accents' - 'Somewhat Northern' - 'Just one' - No, not really' - 'Wi, Wi' --- 'Neckline' - 'Got one' - 'more of a curve then a line' --- 'Model" - 'When I was younger' - 'Why, you recognize me?'

I'm having so much fun.

- but to be honest, one or two - nine of their recommendations were for things that have been added since the listing was first written - I would not have left those things blank if they were there first time around - and six were specifics that had to be there when the listing was created and we just missed them. Or ebay glitched and the info went poof! Yeah, that's the story and I'm sticking to it, they glitched, not me. I never glitch.

OK, last post on this - maybe.

I take it all back, ebay did make something better yesterday - they moved the close the page 'x' back to the top of the tracking pop up. So now I can just roll over to it instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom - much better. Granted, they had just messed it up by moving it to the bottom about a week ago ... but sill, they did admit ... quietly admit ... told nobody and just fixed their mistake. Maybe next they will fix the 'resort to default settings' error in turbo lis.. ... never mind.

Did a test last night - opened an unsold listting, schedule, saved and repeated. Took me almost twenty minutes to do ten. So 200 listing a month times two minutes equals six and a half hours - to do what took maybe thirty minutes total back in the olden days of the past ... which as you know, was last week.   Un-be-leave-a-bull.

This posting along with my others were typed in a very sarcastic font.

So am I happy about all this? No.

Did I know this was coming? Yes.

Should I have checked out this floor mat ... I mean format that was going to be forced down my throat before it was? Maybe ... yeah.

Am I gonna close all the accounts and leave ebay? No.

With all it's faults and nonsense we still make money on this place. We still sell things that don't fit in either real store - "Why is there a toaster next to the Tolstoy?" -  sometimes even for 'stupid' money. We still list things that would sell in the stores but not for what we get on ebay. NOBODY in his town would have given me $1783 for that 45 rpm record. Back in '01 Ebay sales saved the old store in Ca. And my back by ending the slepping records to weekend shows, advs in Toy Shop and other magazines long gone, along with my own mail order catalog.

My very first listing sold for $2700 to a dentist in Germany. He mailed 27 consecutively numbered $100 bills. Those were the days.

The - My ebay :all selling - page.

Born - sometime in the past

Died - slowly over a few days this week.

You're with your dad and older brother now in internet heaven.

rest in bits old friend.

I agree: Ebay has lost touch with its sellers. Nobody asked us if we want this new Ebay site.

This is NOT an improvement of the CLASSIC VIEW! Give me back the classic view any time.

Now I don't see all my listings anymore at once, if the item is being watched, bids. I don't have the SOLD SECTION underneath the active listings anymore, and not the UNSOLD section thereafter.

I cannot figure out why Ebay did this. Certainly this  new disaster site has not even one advantage over the classic view in my opinion.

Ebay at least give us the option to opt out and go back to the classic view. Whoever is happy with this new website can stay on it, all others should be able to switch back.

How about it, Ebay?

First of all, those were some very classic and amusing thoughts there emailavers,  thanks.

I have an idea for Brian the guy who seems to speak for ebay on forums. If you read this, you could allow access to both, as until yesterday, I used both views. The classic for every day upkeep and listing and the new hot mess for keeping up with managed payments, everyone's happy.

This new layout is hard to read and doesn't fit my PC screen well.  I played with it enough to figure out how to find listings, etc. but I still haven't found my feedback and seller pages!  I loved the All Selling page!  It was easy to scan and manipulate!  Not happy at all!
