Local Pickup only issues

Hello,

The past two items I listed as Local Pickup only were purchased out of state with the buyer asking if it will be mailed. 

I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong here-I intentionally do not list shipping costs as directly but if anyone else has suggestions to avoid people buying or bidding when they clearly cannot do a local pickup.

I would tell them the listing clearly stated Local Pickup Only and then cancel the sale using the reason "problem with buyers address".

State in your title, in all caps **PICKUP ONLY**

State it again in your listing, LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, NO SHIPPING!!!  in bold red font

That's about all you can do.  If someone buys and doesn't want to pickup, cancel using problem with buyer's address and block that person.

make your local pickup listings CASH ONLY. Not only will this problem go away, but you will save yourself some money in paypal fees.
