I have experienced a drastic drop in sales. Have others had the same experience Anyone know why?

No. I am on other sites and sales have been fine.

Have you noticed the increase in the price of gas as well as the price of food?
It seems like quite a few shoppers may have scaled back their optional purchases so that they have the funds for those essentials.
Maybe, as Christmas gets closer, you will see an uptick. BTW, your Barbies look very nice.

Lots of sellers with the same experience lately.
Sales are down at virtually all ecommerce sites, perhaps you have heard that there is a lot of inflation going on, Mommy and Daddy are spending money on food, fuel and housing not coughing up cash for more Barbie stuff for the kids.

@mery-sunshine yes and folks with cash are doing summer activities vacations etc. Online spending is down/lower.
We are not spending jack right now as I can tell by the insignificant amount of packages left by our front gate. Only a couple/few per week at this point. We live rural and normally get a lot delivered consistently.

Some have experienced a drop.
Some have not.
Some are having record sales.
It depends what you're selling and what people are buying.

* Food prices up double digits (10-15% or more) since Jan.
* Gas prices are almost double in some parts of the US - most well above $5/gal
* Utility Bills have skyrocketed across the US - no quadrant seems immune.
* July and August are vacation months - many likely went as they paid for the condo last year
* August is typically back to School and books, supplies and clothes/shoes for the kiddos
* Stock market continues to be in the toilet and interest rates are prepped to rise again soon
* Unemployment numbers look great - but MANY workers are under-employed and making a fraction of what they were previously.
* E-Bay Glitchfest of 2022

Consumer spending is actually UP.
But not online. And it's summer.

My sales are down more than 50% I also have zero views or watchers. How is this possible with over 2k listings, and top rated plus and promoted listings. Have called eBay three times and they say they are aware of an issue and send it to the IT people. How long do these IT people take?

The easy answer.....inflation & people are being very careful in their spending.
Good luck!

As a poster mentioned above you have some very nice Barbies. However, you only have 81 listed and nothing else. Based on the years that you have been doing this, and the sales that are reported you have averaged 65 sales per month. You are right - sales are way down for you. Try to remember what you were selling and in what categories you were selling when times were good. At first blush, I would recommend not only increasing your Barbie inventory but also expanding into other categories. At the point you are at now, there is no need for you to have a store.
Someone once said that if you are not growing you are in decline. That is probably true for most of us sellers. Of course it is always hard to grow while being in decline unless you have access to additional funds.

Things are very grim. My sales are down nearly to the 100% mark (it's at 96.5%). One sale in 30 days! ONE.
I'm still listing things, but not with much enthusiasm, to say the least. Sigh.

Let me spell it out... I just went to a grocery store where prices are supposed to be cheaper than other places. Chicken just went up another 10%. It's just me I am buying for.
If I were in a family, I probably would think in my head.... ok, if food keeps going up, I can't be buying non-necessity items at the moment.

But the other sites are fine, they say... Are the other sites for people who don't drive or don't eat? 🙂

yes because ebay have you extra charge in order to sale you items, and id they want to hold you money tell you, you need an other bank account to do that, beside that I pay my shipping by paypal and also ebay charge me for the same shipping, is crap.....
