Listings not showing up in search ? Don't use the Local Pickup option!

Would be a good idea NOT TO USE local pickup as an option until eBay can get this problem resolved.

Many posts here lately about it, please consider this a fair warning .

I have lost 4, going on 5 days, of a view-able listing now due to having the Local Pickup option ....listing can't be found via search whatsoever . 

Since the listing  had  7 bids ( 2  w/in 2 hours of the listing )  I  cannot get rid of that option now  and ebay said they could not do it for me either,  never again !

First, I didn't ever believe this was an unintended "glitch"!  ebay's got an easy out, providing lip service indicating this as a "glitch", some folks happy to swallow, hook, line, sinker.  And that's fine.

No.  This has intentional written all over it!!  Simple as that.  No.  Not "intentional" in any sort of malicious, "we're out to get you sellers" in yet another devious plot.  Specific to this issue, "hiding" local pick up items was purely a business decision.  

ebay's NEVER gonna come out and admit they shot themselves in the foot.  Imagine:  "Dear Sellers.  Due to unforeseen issues beyond our control, we have to temporarily suspend the local pick up delivery option".  Yeah.  That would have gone over like so many ebay lead ballons have in the past.

I'm on a roll...............don't try to stop me...........

My statements are not meant to defend eBay's practices or mistakes. I have had negative experiences using eBay. Mistakes that should not have happened. But they were corrected.

My last comment may have come across as too favorable to eBay. Maybe I was being too subtle. But my approach is to give a person (or a company) the chance to make things right - after which, you judge.

I've read a lot of others' bad experiences on these forums and I don't dis-believe them. They are sharing their own experiences. And I am adding mine to the conversation.

As for these search issues, I am extremely frustrated. I have lost traffic to my listings for days. This is an egregious failure that has, without question, negatively impacted traffic and sales.

In short, I paid for services NOT rendered.

An eBay representative has acknowledged the issues and said a response is forthcoming.
As I said, I will wait and see. But respectfully.

Hi all - Apologies for the late reply here! I just got word back that this issue should be resolved now. Please check on your local pickup listings once more and let us know if you continue to run into any issues. Apologies again and thank you so much for the patience!
