I recently listed a designer item that typically would get many views/watchers. After a couple days having zero I decided to go on a family members eBay app and search for this item to see what comes up. (There’s only 3 others on eBay as of now so there wasn't any filtering needed.)
Not only did my item not come up when searched but none of my other listings showed up on their app, then I searched for my profile and that came up as “no results”.
Still on my family members phone i went to google and found my listing by typing in the exact title. Their ebay app opened to the listing but when i went to my profile it had NONE of my 52 Active listings shown, only past reviews.
Of course on my app everything is Active and available to purchase.

You appear to have used the "Time Away" feature -- that can hide your listings.

That’s what i first thought but i sold something since going in vacation mode.
Also i see this notification on other listings i’m interested in. Putting “vacation away” dates dont remove the listings all together.

"Time away" can hide your listings from search, but users that have added an item to a cart or watch list can still find your item using a direct link, and may still be able to buy, depending on whether you have paused sales or not.

It doesn't, but it can be a deterrent to buyers who are looking for something that will be shipped promptly the same way a lengthy handling time can.

As an occasional seller (only three sales since October and no current listings) you are going to be quite low in Best Match.
EBay does favour sellers who are constantly listing and selling.
Other sellers also pay for favourable placement in Search (Promoted Listings).
However, at the moment, you are not showing any listings at all.
There is little logic in using Vacation Mode, then leaving your listings visible.
It's like saying to a customer "You can look all you like, but I'm not selling. NyahNyah Nyah."
So choosing Vacation Mode/Hide Listings is more sensible.
And apparently that is what you have done, perhaps inadvertently.

So I just checked and my selection was on paused sales…. I just assumed the listings stayed active automatically. I honestly never noticed the option to turn it off/on before.
Thanks for answering! 🙂
