At the top of the eBay Home page is a link called Sell.
Click on it.
It may take you to a page with a blue button on the right called Create Listing.
After that it's pretty simple, just fill in the appropriate spots.
You will be selling in US dollars.
You must ship to the USA.
You will be shipping "from an international location" do not pretend otherwise.
The location is where the goods will be shipped from. Many SriLankan sellers are using Chinese dropshippers. The location then is China NOT SriLanka.
If you are shipping products you actually have, then Location is SriLanka.
Shipping is the hardest part of selling online.
Study the website of your postal service.

Help you what?
You were told you could start selling and you want to know if you should start selling?
How about making that decision on your own?
There is lots of decision making when it comes to selling on ebay.
You better get used to making them on your own.

If they say you're okay to sell, then by all means start selling. Little hint...don't drop ship items from China and read up on what's accepted and not prohibited to sell on ebay. I see so many sellers from Sri Lanka selling plants, seeds, coconut husks, etc. Customs will reject these sales and you'll wind up refunding your customers all the money they've spent. Evidently many countries are suspending shipments from Sri Lanka because so many sellers are violating these conditions. I wish you good luck.

I think this one is a (attempted) seller who was suspended from ebay a while back. Looks like they're back...hmmm? Happy Turkey Day in Hawaii! A hui ho.

Exactly.
Although many use dropshipping it is a Bad Idea.
You take all the responsibility and the supplier takes all the profit.
Sell goods available only in your own country. And don't forget the diaspora-- make your products available to Canada, UK and Australia where as you know there are large emigre communities.
You can even add comments in Sinhalese to your Description to attract those (and your other customers may also enjoy the "authenticity" .
Are there any packaged foods that an emigre might miss? Biscuits? Sweets? One poster here has a nice sideline in pineapple candy that is only available in Hawai'i, for example. And every year I purchase saskatoon berry jam from a seller in Saskatchewan.

ALWAYS REMEMBER, Do not post a high dollar item unless you can afford to give away. New Sellers with Low or zero feedback rating will be HUGE targets for scammers. NEVER use a Drop Shipper like mentioned already. You will always have problems. Start out with small cheap items till you get the feel of it and have a larger number. Even if you buy the first 50 of 100 small cheap items count as well to raise your feedback score.
also read the Money Back Guarantee and know it like the back of your hand.
The More you can learn or know about eBay policies is a huge help to you. Good Luck
