Hello and thanks ahead of time.

I cannot find my listing.  I listed on July 13th for 30 days.  The number is 182667722125.  Unfortunately,

I just found this out now because I was searching other similar items and could not find mine.  It is

Betsey Johnson Pretty Polka Dots Blue and White Enamel Earrings.  I searched and searched and

cannot find.

Please help and thanks again.

That wasn't it.  Remove and from the search and your item will come up.  The actual title uses & instead of and; and I suspect the ampersand is not a searchable term.

If it works, sell it. If it works well, sell it for more. If it doesn't work, quadruple the price and sell it as an antique.

Yes.  But when I type in Betsey Johnson Pretty Polka Dot Blue and White Earrings, they do not show up

so, please try searching under that title, and see if it comes up.  It does not for me.

Oh trinton@ebay.com  Here's an example of an item that's in the correct category but doesn't come up when searching, even with the EXACT title.  Can you explain why?  Thanks!

Try it with Dots instead of Dot. (still ridiculous that wildcards don't work with searches any more.)

Yes.  That worked and I thank you so much.  I typed in "dots" instead of "dot" and also used "&" instead

of "and".   Didn't realize how exact listing are to find.

Thanks again to everyone.  It is very much appreciated.

Hey @siennasaguaro, happy to add some context to this. Unless the name of the item specifically calls for the use of an ambersand (&) then we recommend you use the word "and" instead. A special character like "&" can interfere with search placement when it is not required for the item, such as an AT&T product. Titles should be as closely aligned to the terms your buyers will use to search as possible, and special characters are generally not used.

When I searched for this item with both polka dot and polka dots, the placement of the item in search changed but was visible both times. The item was only unsearchable when I used the word and instead of the & symbol in the title. Since "and" is more commonly used than "&", I recommend making adjustments to increase your visibility.

Keep us posted if you run into any other issues, we'll be happy to dig into them!
