Listing removed

Hi,

I'm new to selling on eBay and trying to sell Shills Black mask pore/black head cleanser. I created a listing and it was removed within 24 hrs because apparently the owner of  Shills claimed copy rights. So eBay requested I send an email to the owner for permission to sell this product which I did and no reply. I see 500+ sellers selling this same product... Why is their listing not removed? Am I doing something wrong in my listing? Please advice...

thank you,

Erica

I once listed an outfit describing it as a "onesie" which is a common term we all use to describe a baby's one-piece style of clothing.  It was removed under copyright reasons because the Carter's brand tradmarked that for their items.  I simply relisted it as a one-piece instead.  My advice?  Get creative.

That's very bad advice. If you have something pulled for copy right or trademarks and you don't get the permission to relist you will end up being suspended from eBay which is 99.999% of the time permanet. It is very rare and almost unheard for eBay to reinstate suspended accounts when suspended for these reasons.

If they haven't responded after a couple of days contact eBay by phone for their help further. Maybe you could try taking shills out of the name, but if you are caught again you could be suspended. Shills is the brand so there isn't anyway to reword unless you sell it as unbranded.

Do as Big Lots does in their ads and simply put "Brand-Name Facial Cleanser" in the title and description, and then picture the actual product.

Just chiming in to say I totally agree with this poster.

OP DO NOT RELIST this cleanser again without specific permission from the manufacturer because you could get suspended from eBay altogether.
