Listing getting pushed down search results; Not matching words?

I'm trying to find my listings to see which search comes up with the best results. I've noticed that If I search for "Black Canary Bombshells Statue" it says it only finds 1 listing with another seller sellign the same item I am, and then "search results with fewer words" below. Under that, about halfway down the page I can find mine. My title has the exact words I am searching for and nearly the exact words his does. Why is mine getting pushed so far down and why is it saying fewer words are matching when they are the exact same? I feel I'm losing visibility because of this.

I searched "Black Canary Bombshells Statue" and 6 listings popped up. Your listing is number 4 in line.

If you try moving the "DC Collectibles" further back in the title, it may move you up.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee the people searching for this item, will use the exact same search terms. When I searched "DC Collectibles Black Canary Bombshells Statue", you are number 3.

The placement in search is based on many factors such as number of views, age of the listing, and whatever else eBay deems important. Search results are also based on personal prefernces of the user. Not everyone gets the same search results with the same search terms.

Yes, I'm bored and taking a break right now...

It's called "best match". No one will always stay on top and there is no way to get your items always on top. It is rare to even get your items showing first depending o how many listings there are. Also rarely do buyers buy from the best match search. Once they see the results they normally change to lowest price, ending soonest, etc. Don't worry about best match and it is an unnecessary stress you will put on yourself.

@jssoldstuffo52

Also take a look at your "Item Specifics."  Make sure as many as possible are filled in and add others manually that will help identify your item.  There has been some discussion on the boards in recent months that since eBay is transitioning to a Catalog-based system, Item Specifics are just as important (and some argue perhaps more important) than the keywords you use in your headline as eBay's search engine is now taking account of both.

It is called ebay making changes for the sake of change. I use to think (and rightly so) that using the fewest words results in the largest pool, no longer about two months ago my single word searches pretty much started coming up with junk. So thank the ebay software eng that are justifying their jobs.

@domo5547

Of course the results would come up with everything including junk on a single word search. I can't see why you think it wouldn't. Maybe take some time learning how to search the site, it isn't that hard.

What I've noticed for months is eBay's search metrics are so far off --- we get a "more results using fewer words" type return when, very nearly without fail, those titles are just as long or longer!  It's like some sort of new math with words.

Using those search criteria under Best Match, I see 6 listings and yours is first.

Sort by Lowest Price, I see 6 listings and yours is third.

I know how to search, I am talking about long term saved searches that are suddenly returning junk!

As an example the first two words in two different auctions are : Walther CP88. One auction will show up second one you have to add more words to get it to show.
