Listing an item

I was about to list a blouse for sale. I had the dimensions of the package and the weight of the blouse typed in. For some reason the shipping option would not come up.  When I clicked the section that said I did not know the dimensions of the package then it showed.

Could someone please tell me what the problem might be?

What shipping option were you trying to select? 

If the weight/or dimensions exceeded what's allowable for a particular class of mail, then no, it wouldn't show.  Example:  If I have something that weighs 16.0+ ounces, then it surely can not go first class and would be greyed out as an option. Types of items are also limited on what class.  Some categories can go media mail, and some can not.  

You need to describe in more detail exactly what you are trying to do.
