Hello guys. Just wanted to hear some advices from you.
At the moment my store has almost 5000 active listings. I'm working with Car parts.
When i was growing from 0 - 2000 parts my monthly sold items was increasing as well, so i expected that if i will list more = i will sell more as well. But actually my sales ammount is staying right now on the same line as it was when i was with 2000 active listings.
I have been looking for eBay algorithms, like listing every day, worked with feedbacks, people really like my services, but i would like to know what would be the reasson why my sales ammount don't grow with the active listings.

The issue is more likely the economy than anything else. With the cost of gas and food, many families are struggling hard just to keep the family fed.

Sales don't always track with number of listings. If you're using 'filler', like stuff that can be purchased at any auto parts store to bump up your number of listings, it will do not a lot of good because you'll be buried in competition. There's plenty of money being spent, but it's doubtful people are going to purchase common auto parts like belts and wiper blades if they can get them locally and save shipping - people are still squeezing a dollar.

This is one of these conspiracy theories people have about ebay throttling sales. It may be it may not be. I hear you loud and clear though. It’s funny when I hit a certain threshold of say $15,000 in a month that it literally stops sales when my 30 day sales amount hits that. And my graphs for sales are always about the same and level which is weird sometimes as well, but it is what it is. Just keep listing more and they will open the flood gates for you

IF you are selling in Latvia, then maybe you need to go back and work on some of your listings a bit. End and sell similar.
If you are selling to USA buyers, the problem is you are selling FROM Latvia. US buyers want fast and with the amount of money many of your parts cost, people are not willing to wait for extended shipping times.

The local newspaper published 6 month of automobile sales totals for our multi county area.
30,000 Chevrolet, 24,000 Ford, ... ... 360 Jaquar. Thats two a day.
Demand for your BMW and Audi listings is scarce because few people own those cars.
I searched the first one of your listings, for a cable to connect a diagnostic computer to a BMW.
Four listings with one sold in the past 90 days and you were not the seller.
I have had good results pulling parts off of salvage cars and selling them on eBay.
That is because I Reverse Engineered the process.
I spend a few hours looking at the Sold results to distill that down to the best selling parts.
I define best selling parts as 36 per year, 9 per quarter or 3 per month.
Here is a list of best selling parts for an older Buick Century.
These parts sell from dozens to hundreds per year.
Armrest
Ashtray
Climate Control
Cupholder
Dimmer Switch
Glove Box Assembly
Grille
Headlight
Hood Latch
Instrument Cluster
Master Window Lock Switch
Molding Door
Rearview Mirror
Speaker Grille
Tail Light
Trunk Latch
I ignore the few thousand other slow selling parts on that car.
a) A premium brand. with little demand for obscure parts.
b) A lack of instant gratification. These car owners can afford a mechanic and want the car fixed right away. You have extended shipping times, as stated in message 5.

How quickly did you grow from 0-2000 & how quickly did you grow from 2000-5000? When you are growing your store, specifically very fast, the traffic and sales are always going to lag behind in most cases 3-6 months depending. Also, are you still listing good quality in demand items with a good sell thru rate in your category when you grew to 5k? You can grow all you want but if the quality of your items went down and your listing items that have slow sell thru rates and are not in demand then do not expect those items to sell fast or even at all. I'm about to start growing my store again & I know that it's going to take about 6 months or so for the traffic and sales to catch up to the amount that I will be growing by. You need to take things slow and be patient.

Hi farmalljr!
Thank you so much for your reply!
yes i kinda agree, that's why we offer also Express Delivery by UPS that usualy is like 1-4 days.
Most of the people are just looking for the best prices and for some products we can offer much lower price than it's available in USA.
But yea of course i agree, most of the people don't have so much time to wait, they better pay more and get them on spot

Hello onlinecentral
Thank you so much for your answer!
And yes that's right, mostly i focus right now on MB, Audi, and BMW parts and like American cars are on the back i would say, and even with that we already make a lot of sales to US citizens.
I will reschedule our listing work and i guess we have to look more for USA cars.
And as well thank you for the catalog that you shared with msot sold parts. It's very useful for me!

Hey Trailblazer!
Actually yes - 0-2000 took A LOT OF Time, it was like since 2018 till 2021 , but for now i have people that do this job, so in a month we add ~450 listingis, so maybe you are right, ebay is a bit laged.
And about Demand, actually yes, we still put for sale very common parts that people usually need to change like Oxygen sensors, Brake pads, clutch kits, etc. Just before we have been adding only like BMW parts, but for now we started putting in all car models.
And thank you so much for your answer, i didn't heard before about that ebay sales traffic beeing behind and i guess that's the problem.
It helped!

Lots of people interested in what you are selling = Sales will be good.
Not many people interested in what you are selling = Sales will be bad.

We need more sellers with wisdom like you my friend. We would have a lot less sellers posting “Oh my god the sky is falling!” EBay is dying and no longer be around soon and etc.

For me personally, I will not buy car parts online. I just buy directly from the mechanic that will install the part. That way if the part ruins my car the mechanic is responsible.
