I was recently told buy a fellow seller that he received threats from 'buyers' regarding his kkk pins he had listed. Is this something I should worry about.

KKK items would be prohibited under the offensive materials policy. They should not be listed here:

Not allowed

Before you list anything controversial, check the list of what is permitted.
But yeah, would you really want to offer something for sale that portrays you as a KKK member or sympathizer? Or a sympathizer with ANY hate group?

Perhaps EBay should be offering more items that promote & commerate love & not hatred.

I don't know why you should be worried about troubles another seller has that they've brought on themselves. They may or may not be worried about any threats from others, but they should definitely be worried about eBay, because anything KKK related is prohibited by policy, and they're going to have their listings removed and rack up some policy violations over it.

general reply
Saw a racially offensive "antique" print for sale when doing research the other day in Art>Prints. The most shocking thing was it wasn't an old one-off, it was a multiple listing of repros that someone is cranking out. Just NO.

Have you ever called out people selling communist flags?
Yeah, you're better off just selling communist flags, japanese imperial army flags, Mein Kampf, Antifa, and many many others. Ebay is perfectly ok with that. Hell, hitlers book is a great seller on amazon. But KKK and Nazi? Oh no. People should be allowed to sell whatever they want, unless it physically harms someone. The communist menofesto and communist flags are just fine, even tho they murdered more people than hitler. The japanese were also worse than hitler, but all their stuff is just fine. So I really don't see the issue with selling KKK stuff. If people want it, let them have it. And that's coming from a Jew, that actually had family killed by both Nazi's and Soviets. Modern day thought policying.

From a fellow Jew who also had family killed in the concentration camps, in a civilized society you draw the line somewhere.
As far as Hitler's books, they cannot be sold here.
And as a Jew, I feel for African Americans that they should not have to be subjected to the KKK stuff either.
If you want to make a buck off of someone else's misery, this is not the place to do it, imo.

Hiding information, isn't the way to go about acheiving love. Teaching people is. Take a lesson from Fahrenheit 51 and 1984.
No one is saying to hide the information because doing that will only doom us to repeat it.
But that is why we have war memorials.
