Listing Error

I keep trying to list an item for sale (I’m located in the US) and whenever I go to list it, I get this error message. I’ve contacted customer support numerous times to no avail. I was able to submit proof of identity and proof of address and still nothing and updated my bank info. The last customer service agent I spoke to told me it looks like I’m using a VPN. I don’t use any vpns on my phone nor my computer. I’ve tried different browsers on my phone and computer to list my item and still nothing. My account was hacked a few years back and all my info was changed to somewhere in China but regained my account and changed everything back but that was years ago. Not sure if that has something to do with it but has anyone else had this problem? Thank you.

The first thing I would suggest is go to your account page.  Check all of the information on your account...looking at every tab...it will be time consuming but it may reveal a discrepancy of your information and preferences.

You mentioned your account was hacked and you were able to resolve the issues.  Did you change your password then also?  I think it's important to change passwords on all of my online accounts frequently just to give a little extra security.

When you try to create a listing and get the error message, are you creating a new listing from scratch or using a saved draft or template?  

After you have reviewed your account information (and possibly change your password) try creating a listing from scratch without using the eBay listing tool.

Hey solimn_eagle, thank you for the reply. I went through all of my settings, the only discrepancy I found was my birthday was wrong so I changed that and everything else checks out. I tried creating a listing from scratch and still get the same error, I don’t know what else it could be.

Can you do a sell similar vs from scratch and just change what is needed?

Hey katzrul15, originally I did a sell similar and also tried from scratch with different items, both proved unsuccessful.
