Hello, I've looked but cant find the answer. Can I list while I have a sale going on with my store? Will my listing automatically be on the sale, or will I have to creat new store sales when I finish listing? Thank you!

I believe there is a setting when you create a store sale where you can check a box that says add new listings in this category or categories. I am pretty sure. I haven't ran a sale in awhile, but I think the last time I did one it did have an option to add new listings as they are created. Otherwise, you can go in and edit sale and add your new listings by category, it will only show the items that are not on sale already and you can check one box and it will check them all and add them. I am almost positive. If anyone else knows better, feel free to jump in since I don't run sales often lately. I was running them frequently, but it doesn't seem to matter whether I run a sale or not. IF people are not buying at all or don't want the items I have up, a sale won't make a difference.
Everything you said is still correct if you are talking about a markdown sale (like 10% off everything), and not an order discount (like buy 2 get 1 free). They behave a bit differently.
Also to be clear (since you didn't state it for the OP) that new listings will not automatically be added to a sale. Just know that it's really buggy. When you add a listing to an existing sale, it will most definitely not apply the markdown immediately. It can take awhile for the change to apply itself. The maximum time it can take is anyone's guess. Because sometimes it just will fail to apply at all and glitch out. But I'd guess that after 24 hrs if the listing doesn't apply the markdown, it probably never will. When that happens you'll have to create a duplicate markdown sale and add just that one listing to it. Yes, markdowns are super buggy.
