There have been multiple reports of checkout / payment glitches on eBay recently... probably not a good thing, given they just announced eBay is going to take over primary payment responsibilities here in the future.
I have always had messages from newbies complaining they can't figure out how to pay, or that something is broken, I would walk them through it, or just tell them to wait until tomorrow and it would probably work then. Now, of course, any attempt to contact me before payment is probably going to get them a nasty warning from eBay, so they'll be really mad then.
