There is a bug happening when viewing a listing's pictures (you click a picture on the desktop version of the website and it blows up the picture to full screen). When the pictures are full screen, I used to be able to press the left or right arrow keys and it would go to the previous / next picture respectively, but now the behavior is the same but it skips 1-3 pictures every time! So if I'm on the 1st picture and I hit the right arrow key, it goes to the 3rd picture instead of the 2nd picture.

The behavior is the same on google chrome (with and without incognito mode) and on firefox (no addons)

When can we expect a fix?

Whoa. I can confirm that, using either the OP's listings or my own. In one of my listings that has 6 photos, the Right Arrow key skipped from Photo 1 completely over to Photo 5, and Left Arrow skipped all the way back again, as if the other intermediate photos weren't there.

Wow. Pictures of items seem so essential to the eBay experience.

Just spoke with eBay on the phone. This is a known bug and very easily reproduced. They didn't fix it in July, are not fixing in in August, won't start working on it until the end of September, and might have it fixed in October. Their bug system is invisible. Sellers can't see bug ID, status, notes.

I'm glad to pay eBay their 10% plus, but expect a level of service that I am not getting. I would say my level of frustration with eBay for failing to provide an adequate service in respect to this concern is an eight out of ten.

Try clicking on the arrow icons rather than using the keyboard arrow keys to step through the photos. Using the arrow keys can often skip every other photo, or even over two photos in some browsers.

eBay is aware of this issue.
