After many years of selling, I am seriously considering leaving eBay. I seem to be wasting my time with such minimal sales. My time is worth money and I don't feel as though I'm being compensated. There are so many other platforms to buy and sell on. Does anyone have a reason that, may make me consider staying? Lisa

The reason for staying or leaving needs to be your own. Good luck in whatever you chose.

There is probably no need to tell you that clothing is one of the most saturated categories on eBay. Or that the FVF information is available for all sellers, if that's how you feel you are not being compensated. It's hard to offer a reason for you to consider staying, since there are so many individual factors that would come into play.
So best of luck whatever you decide.

And then be accused of being an eBay shill, apologist, propagandist, accomplice, agent, useful idiot, operative, troll, or worse? No thanks.
Happy trails wherever they lead you, though.

I can't give you a reason to stay as I feel the same as you. But I will say this. Just like working an in-person job always have another job lined up before you leave your current one 🙂

I am beginning to feel like you!! I have gone 10 days without one sale, even with my store having a HUGE sale, and I have over 200 items being watched....All the fees, and **bleep** associated with all the new policies on a daily, it seems...Thinking of selling everything in an auction, and if I go back to selling on line, going with someone like Poshmark.

Have you tried selling on multiple platforms and comparing sales to see which venue or combination of venues work best for your inventory and pricing? Before you leave eBay, seems it would be smart to have some solid comparative data.

You should consider staying because ebay is the best!!!

only you can make that decision. I sell on Poshmark as well. Let me tell you that you NEED to spend a lot of time working social media if you want to be successful on their platform. Figure all your time spent there and you will see your ROA is not that good.
your listings need serious help. Your formatting looks like a two year old did it. Nothing symmetrical, different Fonts and Colors. Some have no material content listed. NO measurements on any of them that I looked at. Haphazard on care instructions. Then you have pricing issues IMO, Even though you have free shipping it is a bit overpriced. People on Ebay are looking for nicely priced items. I know the brands you are listing are on the higher priced level but Ebay buyers think everything should be at least 50-75% off original prices. Some will recognize the nice items and may not have an issue.
Maybe you have just given up and your listing show it. Maybe you need to take a break. Burnout does happen here. I took two years off from 2008 to 2010 when they were changing things so often. I just got burned out trying to keep up. When I came back I went to 3 days handling and stopped chasing all of top rated seller programs. Been doing strong with a completely different attitude.
Best of luck

There is no one else with the number of eyeballs quite yet but every day more and more migrate out of here in search of greener pastures. Some find it and some don't.
Me?
I'm here until the lack of seller support becomes more hassle to me than the money from sales.
....and that day has continually inched closer instead of further away

I just closed my two stores. Completely not worth the time compared to the reward. Back to the drawing board. Do you use any other platforms now to sell on? If so. How are they going?

I do. About 20% of my sales are on a hobby-specific site with restricted access for buyers and sellers.
Doubt that would help anyone else.
And 80% of my sales are still eBay.
While fees are lower on the other site, they have a fixed $3.50 shipping fee (paid by buyer) even for international sales. So that's a loss right there.
Your sales may improve when your neg wears off and your rating goes up to 100% again.
EBay doesn't use FB to assess members, but buyers often do, and usually just the rating.
