Leap Year!!!

This February also wins the Efficient Month of the Year award by having FIVE Saturdays, despite being the shortest month.

::standing applause::

Furthermore, the date of 02/02/2020 is the FIRST palindrome of its kind in 900 years!

Leap Year!!!

I wonder if Ebay has already taken this into consideration for their GTC calculations or if we are going to have another double billing month?  I mainly ask this as another thread I read somewhere said that New listings were coming up with GTC but when you looked at you listings ending they were scheduled for February 28th.  I thought great they have adjusted for the shorter month not thinking about it being leap year.  Anybody else seen anything that shows Ebay is taking the Leap Year into account?

Double-billing months were eliminated last July.  GTC listings now renew each month on the same date that they started.  A listing that starts on Feb 29 will renew on March 29, April 29, etc.

When a month doesn't have enough days, a listing will roll over on the last day of the month. So on Feb 29 there will be a big pileup with renewal of all listings with a  rollover date of 29, 30 and 31.

I got double bill for Jan. I ended 89 listings on the 31st but still got charged for them. According to the rep if you don't want to be charged for the auto relist you have to end them the day before, so I was suppose to end them on the 30th. She did a one time "curiosity" refund, which they have had to do for 4 of the last 6 months. Also told me any listing I don't want to pay for this month, I need to end on the Feb 27th for days ending 28th to the 31st from the past month.

@Anonymous :

Please clarify the above.  It is important.

I, too remember clearly that:

While we're waiting for an official reply, here's the seller update announcement, which has several helpful examples.

I haven't read any complaints abut monthly double billing in ages, and we just had two 31-day months, so I figured it was implemented smoothly.

Under my wife's account I've checked on her Seller Hub (SH) the ending dates for listings started on the Dec 29th + Jan 29th … the end dates showing Feb 29th.

That's what I try to explain to the Rep, if my listings on the 31st say I have 8 hrs until ending/relisting, I end them before they relist, why was I charged? I don't like it but since there's no 30-31st in Feb. they'll show ending on the 29th BUT if my listings on the 29th are showing I have 1-2 days before they end do I get charge to relist it but on the 31st I decide not to continue the item. I'm not gonna to try and figure when 200-400 items are might end. I use all my free allotment and by 9pm central time on the last day of the month it reads 0, with nothing renewing until next day.

Thanks for the update.  I do not currently have any listings up so I had no way to check out what I had read.  I hope that is not just because of when they were ended previously but what a person that listed on 2/1/20 would also see as ebay had made changes on 31 day months so was hoping this had been taken into account.

I have ended GTC listing with less than 10 minutes remaining, once ended they DO NOT renew! I've never tried to do it in the last minute but I'd guess that would work just as if a sale is made in the last minute of a single quantity listing it does not renew (unless you have the out of stock option enabled).
