Late delivery

For the 3rd time in recent days, I have a defect for late delivery.

The book was posted within 24 hours (in fact within a few hours) of payment.

This is evidenced  by:

• The time the UK Royal Mail  tracking number was entered; and
• The proof of posting which is available if requested.

The delay in delivery was wholly due to the ongoing backlog issues in the Royal Mail which is clearly stated on their website and/or the ability to deliver due to the purchaser not being home.

All this is completely outside my control and to receive a defect is very, very frustrating. As is the appeal automated rejection response which:  “cannot be changed or escalated.”
