Just a heads up - I received a late shipping defect for an item that sold the Saturday before Veteran's Day (Monday November 11). It was shipped out on Tuesday, the next business day. (I offer 1 day handling time.)
I requested the defect be removed and the automated system denied the request. The automated system seems to generally deny all requests unfortunately.
I've now appealed it - the only option I was given through chat was to send an email - we'll see what happens. I'm sure that when a live human reviews it, the defect will be removed.
A similar thing happened to me last year - it's frustrating to spend so much time trying to get an automated system to recognize there was a federal holiday.
I realize it's only one defect, but I prefer to only have defects on my account for things that are actually defects. A few false defects can drag my seller status.
So all of that to give other sellers a heads up to keep an eye on their account. And a request to ebay to please reprogram their automated system to recognize ALL federal holidays including Veterans Day - can't ship if the post office is closed. Thanks!

Did you print the label on Saturday or Tuesday? What I do is print labels immediately. As a seller I have not had a defect on my account for items sold on Saturday before the Veteran's Day holiday.

You say the package was "shipped" on Tuesday, did it also get a scan on Tuesday?
