Knowing when an offer comes via "Promoted listings"

One question regarding promoted listings has not been asked yet!

When someone is making me an offer, how can I see whether my item will sell via promoted listings? It makes the world of a difference to know this when making a counteroffer, because it`s usually a hefty 8% taken out by eBay when it actually sells! It is very important to know whether that 8% will be taken away or not! I have tried to see how this would be specified on the offers I receive but I cannot see anything...only when and if it actually sells I can see that, but it`s too late by then!

By the way, don`t misunderstand me...I am not against eBay taking their part if this actually happens, but not knowing is the problem when trying to make a deal!

Thanks in advance

You can't. Sellers have been asking for that functionality almost since Promoted Listings began, but so far it hasn't been granted.

You can't tell if it's a promoted listing sale until after it sells, then it shows in "my eBay" as promoted (and on your monthly statement).

8% is a lot... I usually  have a 5% cap on my promoted listings just because eBay is recommending 9-12%, it's too high.

Thanks for your recommendation! I will look into it. I am actually already playing with how my listings are promoted with various %, and to be honest it`s in ebay`s favour thus far...the less the % the lower the listing will be, but I am looking into finding a balance for this
