Sold an item with BIN in December. Was necessary to open a case due to buyer claiming item was not delivered. (I had the the tracking to prove it was). Ebay ruled the case in my favor! (Imagine that) and said no refund was to be issued. PayPal just refunded him this AM!! Can't wait for Adyen. Hopefully it will be a better platform.

Did the buyer open a subsequent case on PayPal that you failed to respond to?

Are you sure it's just not on hold until you answer in the resolution center? Or as lucky said, did you miss the claim in PP?

The buyer opened a case with PayPal. I responded and sent them all the info from the Ebay case.

I would check with PayPal my understanding is that a claim can be cross checked between eBay and PP. PP should honor the eBay decision. Not 100% on this but also believe they can only make the claim in one venue. So shouldn't be able to open in both. Anyhow, PP should honor your proof of delivery, especially if eBay did.

That's what I thought! Wasn't even worried about his filing with PayPal.

If you responded to the case in the PAYPAL resolution center, with the appropriate delivery or signature confirmation, they should not have found in favor of the buyer.
Recently, however, there have been a few cases reported here that they have done so (likely in error).
Seller had proof of delivery to the address of a required AUTHENTICATOR...i.e. the ones ebay requires in certain transactions for sneakers or watches. The delivery confirmation did NOT show delivery to the buyer's address/zipcode so the buyer's claim was upheld when made via PayPal.
Seller had proof of delivery to a US reshipper address. Since it was NOT the address of the buyer on file with PayPal, the buyer's claim was upheld in a similar fashion.
Had these above claims been made though eBay, the problem would likely been a non-issue.
Unfortunately, none of the sellers reporting this problem returned to say if it was ever resolved. If either of the above cases apply to you, it may be worth contacting PayPal to have them check on this again.

Thanks for the info. Neither of these cases is me. I have been with PP for 18 years and Ebay for 22 and never had anything like this happen. Since Ebay and PP are no longer joined at the hip I think I'm screwed. 😞
