Just closed a case and received the fee credit, but why can't I leave negative feedback for buyer?

Hi,

 

I just closed a case where the buyer never sent payment. I gave the buyer multiple chances and extended his ability to make the purchase to a week.  Never received a response back so I opened a case and it was just closed today without payment from the buyer.

 

After closing the case, I went to leave negative feedback to warn other sellers and found I cannot leave any feedback.  It's botherng me that the buyer is still sitting at 100% feedback and I can't do anything about it!!!

 

The user has a new account with (4) feedback and I found that during the open case he even went and made another purchase on a similar item!

 

How do I make sure his feedback is effected?

Leaving negative feedback for the buyers went away at the same time payphones and pantyhose did..almost a decade ago..not possible..just block them on your BBL...

Haven't been able to leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers for years.  It's part of eBay's method of making sure the buyers are happy.

 

Honesty isn't nearly as important, apparently, as keeping those buyers at 100% positive feedback.

You don't. 

 

Why would you want to? 

 

Of course you are aware that when the UPI has closed the buyer has received a strike & neither party may leave feedback? 

 

No doubt you have added the ID to your BBL & set your account preferences to block all those with 2 or more unpaid strikes in a 12 month period?

Well, you did give the "buyer" an unpaid item strike.

Most of us have our settings to reject buyers with 2 unpaids.

 

Most times we never know who the buyer is until after the sale.

( unless you do best offer, then you can check the buyer )

 

So neg FB for buyers is for the most part pointless.

And now that ebay has limited the reasons for a canceled sale.

Unless the buyer requested, you will damage your account.

( problem with buyers address still works... for the time being )

You cannpt give him a negative because ebay does not allow it.

 

But you did file unpaid strike.  Many sellers block those who have 2 or more unpaid strikes, so this will severely limit his ability to purchase items on ebay

 

And remember to block him.

Exactly! When I go and read restaurant reviews or any other review for that matter if the person being reviewed handles criticism well I'm more likely to go there. When they installed the customer blame the customer ect, I'm far less likely to go there even if the customer is at fault.

 

The fact is eBay buyer feedback was all too often a case of he said she said, and a battle of who could sling the best insults. 

Even the worst buyers do not appreciate being insulted no matter what has gone wrong with the transaction. Buyers were actually leaving over bad feedback.

Ebay only cares about making money off of both you and the buyer. Ebay has a surplus of sellers but not as many buyers so they don't want to offend them.

Back when sellers could leave negatives they almost always made themselves (and Ebay) look worse than they made the buyer look. They were often expletive laiden diatribes with misspelled words and excessive exclamation marks. Seriously, I cannot tell you how many times I saw feedback like "LAIR!!! SCAMER! EVIL PERSIN!!!!". Mostly because the seller left the feedback when they were still fuming and irrational.

 

It was ridiculous. UIDs and blocks work so much better and don't allow sellers to make themselves look bad.

i agree it totally sucks.i have 15cases open now..most same lady...unfortunately ebay is more for buyers than us sellers.dont seem fair because they r open to do it to another unsuspecting seller..i guess we just deal with it
