Just a question of curiosity.

This is a question about the eBay community & not a suggestion that something SHOULD be allowed.  If it would benefit sellers & eBay, why are we not allowed to promote our listings in the community?  Maybe someone would find something they really would like to buy but not aware it is available?  It is not an advantage for anyone since all members are able to be in the community.  Of course, there would need to be limitations such as only able to promote 1-2 items a day.  Maybe create a section just for that.  Monitors can easily remove them after a period of time.  What say thee?   🙂

Just a question of curiosity.

A quick google search tells me that eBay has more than 18 million active sellers worldwide.

Can you imagine what the boards would look like if sellers could advertise?

That's a whole lot of promotions, possibly. Imagine having to scroll through it all to help buyers and sellers with their issues.

If I'm not mistaken something like this was allowed in the old Clothing Board. But it was quite limited, and it was confined to vintage clothing. I doubt eBay would permit what you are suggesting for the selling board. Frankly, I would not be surprised to see the boards closed down next year...

Just a question of curiosity.

Why would I come to two sites to search for items on eBay? I waste enough time searching and buying on the main eBay platform.

Just a question of curiosity.

People come to these boards in search of solutions to problems. If promoting listings was allowed then I suspect that those promotions would so overwhelm the legitimate questions that the board would quickly become useless for problem solving.
