I'm looking at my feedback totals and remember thinking I wanted to hold out until I hit the 5000 mark before quitting. Back in the days when feedback actually mattered, hitting those milestone numbers got you eBay swag. Perks too, IIRC. Later it got you a mailed certificate "suitable for framing", and later still an emailed image you could print off if you wanted to waste the ink.
Now... no one even bothers leaving feedback for sellers, and I'm wondering if eBay still sends out some sort of Congratulations when you hit one of their feedback milestones.

They had the star you could print out when I first started. Now...no recognition whatsoever!

That's what I thought. And it's one more telling sign of what they really think of their sellers. If they can't even be bothered with a line of code that sends a bulk email, they don't think little of us. They don't even think.

No, they do not, but if you're feeling nostalgic you can download or print one of these.

The only thing I ever received was more fees.

Not nostaglic enough to waste part of a $30+ ink cartridge on it. (LOL)

I don't go looking for feedback, but at the same time I am still very much chasing the feedback total of my former employer / business mentor. At my current rate I will pass him in 2 more years.
