Count me as another one who HATES the new seller hub. What a clustered mess! The classic view was so simple. One page, with sales, listings, drafts right in order. So simple to navigate. Who cares about traffic reports, trending reports, etc. The vast majority of us are just part-time sellers who sell as a hobby. Every time ebay makes a change, it's always instead of one click, it's now 2 or 3 clicks to do the same task. Let's make it more difficult instead of more easier. My enthusiasm as an ebay seller just took a big dive. Did I mention I hate the new seller hub?

This is just marketing 101, your local Grocery store does it all the time, just when you have it down and can speed through the Store they speed bump it by moving products which causes you to spend more time in the store,  more time equals seeing and buying more stuff, eBay is getting us to hang on their platform longer maybe buying more or clicking on commercial adds...follow the money$$$

I've been using the seller hub for a long time - I've never found myself clicking on ads (do they even have them on the hub?) or buying more items.  The seller hub is designed to make selling more efficient.  The more you sell, and the better you sell, the more eBay makes.  There are some improvements that benefit both eBay and sellers.

but sellers aren't spending time on Ebay to BUY or even LIST items right now...many of us are spending more time trying to figure out the mess (until we get too frustrated and Leave)

I have several accounts and over 20 years on eBay, well over 4000 transactions, the new Hub is a mess and you know it or you don't know what you are talking about, this new hub is driven by eBay marketing period

jonavanbod_0 is not even a seller.

They are either an employee or a shill who writes the same **bleep** posts on multiple threads about Classic View ending. Always promoting Seller Hub without providing any tangible reasons why. Just a bunch of platitudes.

c06u, same here.

I don't even know what the marketing objective behind Seller Hub could be.

Are they too arrogant to admit that it sucks and is highly inefficient?

Are they jealous/embarrassed because some other engineering team came up with Classic View?

Or are they just really stupid and think it's great?

One thing is for sure, they are not sellers themselves and they don't listen to sellers. Ever.

What I write is that I prefer the seller hub.  I’m sure that it will take some adjustment for those that have recently made the switch, just as PayPal, adding tracking numbers, etc. were adjustments.  Seller hub should be, at worst - for some - a minor annoyance.  That’s just my take.

No, eBay isn’t paying me!  Posting IDs have been thoroughly discussed.  I buy a few items and post with this ID because some people lack perspective.  Some people get awfully upset about others not sharing their views.

Ok, so please tell me ONE specific, tangible way in which Seller Hub is better than Classic View.

I don't see hub and classic as terribly different.  BUT, what I do prefer about hub is the following:

- I can move around the sections for what is most important to me

- Also, I can fit those items onto one screen - with classic, I'd have to scroll past sections like "item recommendations", "offers to buyers," etc.

- I don't need those huge pictures that are shown in the classic view

- I like having "Payments" and other drop-down links at the top of the page

- I like having the sales charts prominently displayed

Me, I don't think one click to get to my items awaiting shipment is a big issue.  Again,  I don't see a huge difference with either.  If all that I had was the classic view, I'd be fine.  People had such a knee-jerk reaction to the change - I don't think that most posting every tried to give the new layout a chance.  Change is hard for some people - but as a wise rat once said, and I'm paraphrasing, change is life.

Ok, I guess you didn't know Classic View very well or are thinking of something else.

- You can move sections around the page, or completely remove them, in Classic View. You can even change the layout of the page between several options.

- Again, you can move the sections you don't want/use to the bottom or get rid of them.

- You can unselect pictures from the list of options on a listing and I think maybe you could change the size, but I can't remember for sure.

- I don't know what you're referring to by "Payments," but whatever it is, you could have had it at the top of the page if you wanted it there.

- Not sure if sales charts was an option on the Classic View page. I'm guessing it wasn't. So you would trade complete functionality and customization for a bar graph that you could easily get to with a click or two?

So you maybe have one legitimate benefit of Seller Hub over Classic View.

I can rattle off at 20 benefits of Classic View over Seller Hub off the top of my head.

There is a reason sellers are up in arms, and it isn't because they don't understand Seller Hub.

There are many eBay members who have more than one eBay ID, sometimes one for selling, one for buying and perhaps one reserved just for posting on the Boards.

That means you can't say definitively that this person IS NOT EVEN  A SELLER.

Hi Rich, so I have been trying to email this man for a few days already, wanted to say my complaint to him specifically, but because I keep being thrown a loop I will just drop the comment anywhere, any suggestions? Can you get a message to him?

You're going to email the corporate head of ebay and complain that you don't like the new seller hub?

Good luck with that.  Let us know how that works out for you.
