Item not received

Hello.

I am based in the UK and posted within the UK - all signed for with signature online for proof.

Buyer opened a claim and stated no received, UK eBay closed in my favour l as there was proof they signed for it.

It was reopened today and case was on 'hold'. UK eBay advised that the buyer used a transaction site that is US and so it is being dealt with by them as policies are different, this being so, what is this 'document' that they have asked for?

There is a signature online to show it has been delivered but UK eBay aren't sure what the document is either or what has been asked.

Thanks.

Thanks, I'm not sure what's happening with this issue though. But if the buyer is registered in the UK, and purchased from the UK, and item delivered in the UK, then this issue has nothing to do with the US site.

This is exactly what I don't understand as UK eBay cannot help me anymore.

I will have to wait for the outcome in a few days.

Thanks for all your help anyway!

Yeah. It's a head-scratcher for sure. I finally tagged Trinton/Tyler, so one of them may be able to help. Sometimes, as laypeople, we just don't ask the right questions. Plus, I think they can take a look at things we can't see.

Courtney, I've asked two of eBay's team to take a look at your threads. They're not always available 24/7, but they are very reliable about answering our calls. Please keep an eye on this thread for their responses.

Do you know if it's possible for the UK buyer to file a claim on ebay.com?

I have been thinking about the purchase too - this was a buy it now or best offer only. I had the option to send them a one time offer which they accepted, so I'd have thought this would have gone through UK eBay?

The transaction should have taken place on ebay UK because your listings are not visible on the US site..

That's what I thought but UK eBay have said they can't help me as it's now dealt with the US.

Wouldn't it be possible for a UK buyer to be on the US site (ebay.com) and purchase OP's item?

OP's items would be visible to the buyer in search, and available for purchase on the US site when using their (default) UK address.

Did you ask ebay UK why the US is dealing with it?

Has the buyer filed a claim on the US site?

Yes - they said the buyer purchased it through the US transactional website and UK policies are no longer followed.

Was the item only listed on ebay UK, and not also listed on ebay.com?
