Item Views going down when I check back again?

I checked an item I have for sale and at one point it says 18 views, I check it the next day and it says 17 and then 16 views

How is this possible? Anyone else getting this glitch?

BTW I noticed that views no longer go up when you check up on your item from a different browser or in incognito mode, fwiw ... views tied to IP address maybe?

Respectfully, there may be more to it than this. We have had view numbers decrease on an auction which was only live for 7 days.
