I am working on liquidating my mother in law's estate. I listed her hearing aids for sale. As usual I searched for all sold items to verify pricing of the same type and select one then use the sell link to assure my category is correct.
If you search ebay for the phonak hearing aids there are literally 100's of listings. All I was told is they are prescription and not allowed. If you are going to apply a policy to individuals then it should be done for everyone.
Unreal...

I do understand... As a software developer I know it could be automated at listing time making it the same for everyone. I know it would require development time but a company as big as ebay should be capable of this change.

Ebay has many bots which find violations of policy.
Ebay needs a lot more bots to find violations of policy.
There are higher priorities for programmers than this one, including fixing all of the bots which take down items which are not prohibited.

Hearing aids are prohibited on eBay since they require a prescription. Medical devices and equipment policy
Plus selling someone else's used hearing aids is just gross in my opinion.
Feel free to report those listings you see selling prohibited items.

It's only a matter of time before the other listings are gone. eBay is absolutely drowning in listings and I'm not sure how efficient their reporting is. Also, some sellers are good at end-runs, so to speak, when it comes to listing and thus avoid take-downs.
